Automate your restaurant marketing with CartQ's set-and-forget system.
Watch a 3-minute video from CartQ founder, Kent Thompson, outlining three unique marketing strategies that your customers will really love:
Explore the ways that CartQ can help your restaurant:
eGift Cards
- eGift Cards function like traditional, physical gift cards, in that they carry a balance and don't have to be used all at once.
- You can offer a bonus amount that buyers can keep for themselves or include in their gift, if giving to someone else.
Certificates
- Certificates are different from eGift Cards in that there is no running balance -- the entire 'deal' needs to be redeemed on one visit.
- Examples: 'Get two $25 Certificates for $40', 'Get a 10-Visit Punchcard for $100'.
Discount Cards
- A discount card is a collection of certificates that is sold for deeply-discounted price (typically $20-$25), compared to the amount that could be saved.
- You earn money when the sales is made and then again when the customer redeems each certificate.
Subscription Boxes
- Subscription Boxes work like a physical product subscription box: The customer pays up front for a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription, and they or the gift recipient will receive a new certificate via email & text once per month, every two weeks or once a week.
- Subscription Boxes make great gifts because the recipient is reminded of the thoughtfulness of the gift each time they receive a certificate, potentially for an entire year.
eGift Options, Themes & PDFs
- On the checkout page for eGift Cards, Certificates, Discount Cards & Subscription Boxes, the buyer can choose a thoughtful gift certificate theme for their gift recipient.
- A themed Gift Certificate PDF will be generated and emailed.
Marketing Blasts
- Marketing Blasts provide a way to send out an email and text message to your entire list on a one-time or recurring basis, in order to promote a sale of an eGift Card, Certificate, Discount Card or Subscription Box.
- This allows you to set up all of your monthly, quarterly or holiday promotions ahead of time and never have to touch them again unless you want to make a change.
Sign-Up Gifts
- A sign-up gift offer is what you'll use when you are trying to provide an incentive for someone to sign up for the first time.
- Customers can scan a QR Code at your table to view your menu, and at the same time choose to sign up for your free gift.
Calendar Cards
- A Calendar Card is an 8.5x11" flyer or postcard with one special offer for each month of the year that you can conveniently print and distribute at your location or directly mail to homes.
- By mailing one postcard with 12 offers on it, the recipient might be more likely to put the postcard on their fridge in order to get the deals throughout the year.
- To reduce mailing costs, you can co-op with a real estate agent or insurance agent for mailing out a Calendar Card via USPS Every Door Direct Mail.
Bounce Back Offers
- Get the customer to come back soon by sending out a Bounce Back Offer after they have redeemed another offer or filled out a review form.
We Miss You Offers
- Send out a 'We Miss You' Offer if a customer hasn't interacted with the system for a certain period of time, like 1 month, 2 months, 6 months, etc..
Give Away Offers
- Blast out a 'Give Away' offer to your list on a one-time or recurring basis.
- Perfect for when you're having a special event, promotion or if there's an upcoming holiday.
Celebration Offers
- Set up Celebration Offers to go out for your patron's Birthday, Half-Birthday or Anniversary.
Local Check-In
- Display your Local Check-In Offer page on a TV or tablet at your location.
- Customers can scan the QR code and enter their email or phone to receive their points.
Points Entry
- Staff members use the Points Entry offer to award points to the customer when the customer doesn't have any other offer they are redeeming on that visit.
- You can print table tents with the QR Code so customers can easily generate or locate their Points Entry certificate.
- When the customer scans the QR code, they can optionally view your online menu or join your reward program to receive their Sign-Up Gift, or simply earn their points via a redemption on their Points Entry certificate by a staff member.
Rewards Earned
- Customers can spend the points they've accumulated on Rewards.
- One point earned is the same as one dollar, so if a customer spends $100, they'll receive 100 points.
Reservations
- Use Reservations to fill slow times by offering an incentive on certain days of the week and times of day, or to just provide a way for a customer to make a normal reservation.
Join Waitlist
- Customers can scan a QR code, enter their name, phone and party size in order to join your waitlist at a particular location.
- When their table is ready, your staff can send a text message notification to the customer and mark their record as fulfilled.
Certificate Redemptions
- Redemptions can be done on the customers device, or the staff member can scan the QR code to bring up the page on their own device.
- Alternatively, the customer can click the Transfer to Staff button, which puts certificate in the Transferred list within the staff member's admin panel.
- The staff member enters the Subtotal and their Security PIN to complete the redemption.
Review Forms
- Optionally redirect the customer to a review form after a certificate is redeemed.
- Keep the reviews private for your analysis, or have the positive reviews (4-5 Stars) display automatically on your business page.
Business Page
- Each account gets its own Business Page, which is essentially a one-stop shop for everything that your customers will need, both when they are logged in and are not logged in as a visitor.
- My Q: If a patron is logged in, they will see a link for 'My Q', which is a list of all certificates that they have access to, via sign ups, birthdays, special offers, purchases, etc..
- CartQ offers a white-labeled CNAME option for franchises and business groups that allows them to use a custom domain name for all the Business Pages of their members.
Text-Us Website Bubbles
- Put a javascript code snippet on your website that will pop open a bubble in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Visitors can send a text message via web form, and you can set up additional buttons to rotate a special offer, make a reservation or go to any custom URL.
Customer Communications
- When visitors send a text, a new text thread starts on their phone, which is easy and familiar for them - just like texting with a friend.
- You and your staff have full visibility into every conversation via the one-click web-based text thread for staff, even as threads get reassigned to and handled by different staff members.
