Local Check-In Offer
The local check-in offer is a type of offer that is meant to be displayed on a TV or tablet at your location.
Customers can scan the QR code and enter their email or phone to receive their points.
The entire process is touchless, so no one has to share a common tablet or wait for someone who is slower to check-in.
Note: The URL is meant to be kept private so that customers can't hit the URL on their own and receive points when they are not at your location.
The system uses a rotating QR code with a unique, expiring token so that customers can't simply save the location on their phone to check in later when they are not at your location.
The system also enforces a policy of one check-in every 6 hours.

Set the Title
Just use the default of "Local Check-In", unless you want to use some other title.
Tag For URL
This is the tag that will make up the URL that you'll visit on your TV or tablet at your location, so we'll want it to be unique.
Leave blank and the system will auto-generate a random tag for you with just digits so it will be easy to type in.
Here are some notes on security:
The Check-In Page URL should be kept private and only loaded on devices that you control, in your location, in order to prevent people from getting check-in points at-will, from any location.
If you believe that the URL has been discovered by unauthorized individuals, simply change the 'Tag For URL' to something unique and reload on your devices.
It's also recommended to set the browser that displays the check-in page to full-screen mode with the URL address bar hidden so that customers can't see it or take a photo of the URL when they scan the QR code.

Points Per Check-In
The number of points should be equivalent to a dollar amount.
For example, if simply showing up and checking in is worth $5 of spending, enter 5 points.

Specific Location
If you want to have separate check-in offers for each location for reporting purposes, you can tie a local check-in offer to a specific location.
Otherwise just leave it blank to use the same check-in offer for each location.

Save & View Check-In Page
Now we're ready to save and preview our page.
Once you save and then edit the page again, you'll see some convenient options under Promotional Links at the top of the page for getting the check-in page loaded on your TV or tablet.
We can type in the URL manually or we can scan the QR Code.

Scan To Check-In
Now we are viewing the page that your customers will see, if you display the local check-in page on a TV, with horizontal orientation.
The QR Code automatically changes every so often so that customers can't just keep getting points when they're not at your location.
Note: if you haven't added any Reward offers yet, you'll see a message on the page saying that.

Tablet View
This is what customers would see if you have the local check in page loaded on a tablet, with vertical orientation.
Enter Email or Phone
Once we scan the QR Code, we'll see a page that asks for the email address or phone number.
The time limit is displayed because that's when the QR Code token will expire, and the page will refresh to show an error. If they run out of time, they simply would need to just scan the QR Code again. This is a security measure that prevents people from just bookmarking the page on their phone and accessing it over and over when they're at home.
Note that if the person is already logged in on their phone, the system will just immediately award their points and display a success message to them so they don't have to enter their phone or email.

New Customer Registration
Let's say that the person enters their email address or phone number, but it's not found in the system.
In this case they will be taken to a page that asks them to enter their information.
In this screenshot, this is what's displayed if we are not offering some type of sign-up gift as an incentive for signing up.
So, upon saving, they'll be awarded their points.

Once they register, they'll be taken to their certificate page for their free breadsticks, chips & salsa, etc..., where they can then redeem upon their current visit.

Keep in mind that they'll be receiving points for the subtotal of their their visit as well when they redeem their sign-up gift certificate.
