Reservation Offer
As the name suggests, Reservation Offers allow customers to make a reservation.
But, in addition, Reservation Offers provide a way to fill slow times by offering an incentive on certain days of the week and times of day.
This is accomplished by setting up Reservation Block-Outs, Labels and Schedules beforehand.
It's important to set up our Reservation Labels first, and then Reservation Schedules, and then our Reservation Offer, in that order.

Reservation Labels
First, we'll want to create our reservation labels.
Reservation Labels simply indicate what deal the customer is going to get, if anything, for a particular time slot.
For example:
Prime Time
10% Off
20% Off
and for our descriptions:
Enjoy our regularly-priced menu items
Take 10% off food and non-alcoholic beverages
Take 20% off food and non-alcoholic beverages

Three Label Examples
Following the examples given, we've created 3 labels.
We can then use these labels in the following steps.
We can then use these labels in the following steps.
Reservation Schedules
Now that we have our labels, we can create our Reservation Schedules.
Reservation Schedules are how we can designate what Reservation Labels apply to certain days of the week and times of day, and at which locations.
The way to approach Reservation Schedules is to think about the days of the week that are going to have certain similarities, and then to create one schedule for each group of weekdays that share those similarities, for all locations or per specific locations.
For example, we can create a Reservation Schedule for our slowest days of the week, Monday-Thursday, for our Downtown location.

Reservation Schedules - Locations & Days of the Week
Next, for our Monday-Thursday schedule, we'll checkmark that this applies to Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
We can also choose to apply this schedule to all locations or only to specific locations.
We can also choose to apply this schedule to all locations or only to specific locations.
Reservation Schedules - Times of Day
Now we can select which labels apply to which times of day for that schedule.
We can also choose the maximum number of reservations we want for each time slot.
In this example, our 2-3pm hour is our slowest, so we'll offer 20% off.
And then at 3pm we'll offer 10% off.

Prime Time
For our Friday, Saturday and Sunday schedule, we don't want to offer a discount, so we'll choose the Prime Time label.
Reservation Block-Outs - Holiday
Additionally, we can set up any reservation block outs under Set Up > Reservation Block Outs.
This would be for holidays or other popular times that you simply don't want to allow people to make a reservation during.

Reservation Block-Outs - Custom Date
In addition to popular holidays and pseudo-holidays, we can also choose a custom date for a block out.
If you want to have the block-out only apply to a specific location, you can do that as well.

Reservation Block-Outs - Next Occurrence
Once we save our block outs, the list will show the next occurrence of that block out.
The system will continually refresh the next occurrence so that that day will be excluded from reservations ongoingly.

Reservation Offer
With our set up completed, we're now ready to create our Reservation Offer.
We'll want to keep the title as simple as possible, so we'll stick with the suggestion of just "Reservation".
Once we save the page, we will be able to edit our Website Bubble and choose this reservation for one of the buttons to display. We'll enter "Make a Reservation" for the Website Bubble Button Text.

Choose Reservation Schedules and Time In Advance
Going back to our Edit page for our Reservation Offer, we can now choose what reservation schedules we want to use, and we can choose the amount of time in advance that a patron can make a reservation.
Special Requests From Customer
Here we can customize the text related to the "Special Requests From Customer" fields.
We can enter the text that will go below the 'Special Requests' box to let the visitor know examples of what to enter in the box.
Example: 'Please let us know of any special requests or instructions, high chairs needed, birthdays or anniversaries being celebrated, etc..'

Reminder Notifications
Choose to send up to three reminder notifications to reduce no-shows.
Select This Reservation For Our Website Bubble
Once we've saved the page, we can edit our Website Bubble and choose this reservation for one of the buttons to display.
Website Bubble Button
We now can click to make a reservation from our website bubble.
Reservations Button
We can also show the Reservations button on our business page.
To do this, edit the Reservation offer and go to the Featured Items section and checkmark it. This will cause it to be displayed as a link at the top of your Business Page as well as in the Featured list.
Note that you can only have one 'Featured' Reservation offer.

Choose a Reservation
Now we're ready to select our time slot and make our reservation.
Note: if there happens to be more than one label for a certain time, both will be displayed and the customer can choose between them.
In other words, if you create two Reservation Schedules and there is overlap, meaning that both have the same day of the week and time of day checkmarked, the system will display both as links to the customer.
This also allows you to offer several different deals with specific maximums on each one.
Once a particular time slot square has hit the limit, it will no longer be displayed on the page for selection.

Fill Out The Form
On the next page it summarizes the reservation time slot for us.
We can fill out the form with our information and add any special requests.

Reservation Certificate
After we submit, the system will create a reservation certificate for us, sending out the accompanying email and text message.
This will list out the information and will allow us to Cancel or Reschedule.
When we have finished at our table, we can have a staff member give us points in the amount that we've spent on our visit.

Reschedule or Cancel
If we do decide to reschedule, this will take us to the page to pick a new reservation time.
The system will alert us that we already have an upcoming reservation, and will ask us to confirm if we want to cancel that one and reschedule.

RSVN/Waitlist Fulfillment
Under Links > RSVN/Waitlist staff can view and fulfill our reservations. (Visit the specific document on that for more info.)
Reservation Notification Popup
Under Set Up > Account Settings > Commerce - Reservation Notification Popup, there is an option to enable the Reservation Notification Popup.
This will pop up a box on the RSVN/Waitlist and Transferred pages when a new reservation comes in for the same day.
This provides more visibility for your staff in addition to the existing email and text notifications.
For example, you could have a tablet out that is always on the RSVN/Waitlist or Transfers page, and if a reservation comes in for later that evening, the alert will come up.
The title bar for the alert will alternate colors so it will catch someone's attention.
