Common Offer Options
This document covers various options that are common across different types of offers.
Featured Items
You can designate eGift-Cards, Certificates, Discount Cards, Subscription Boxes, Sign-Up Gifts and Reservation Offers to be included in the Featured Items list on your business page.
The Featured Items page is handy because you can link to it from your website and then control what is on that list from your CartQ account, vs having to post individual offer links directly to your website.

Automatic Rotation of Featured Items
One benefit of the Featured Items list is that each item is only shown in the list if the checkout window is available.
For example, if you have a yearly St. Patrick's Day offer that runs in March and a Black Friday offer that runs yearly in November, each will only appear in your Featured Items list when the checkout window is available in March and November, respectively.

Expiration Date
You can set an expiration date for each offer.
Expiring Soon Reminders
Whenever you set an expiration date, you then have the option to set up to three Expiring Soon reminders.
The system will automatically add "Reminder" to the beginning of the email subject lines and text messages so that recipients will know why they're getting the message.

Balance Remaining Reminders
In addition to the Expiring Soon Reminders, you can also send our reminders for when customers have a balance remaining on their certificate.
For example, if you don't want to put an expiration date on your eGift Cards, or if you have an expiration date that is quite some time away, (like 5 years), we wouldn't be able to send out an Expiring Soon Reminder in a timely manner.
So, the Balance Remaining Reminders fills in that gap.

Free Checkout
You can set an offer to have Free Checkout for everyone or a select group of email addresses.
This will bypass the payment collection and checkout step and will go right to the Certificate page after sign up.
Reasons why you might want to do this include:
You're testing an offer.
You want to give someone else the ability to test the offer.
You want to provide what that offer has, but not charge for it. For example, you want to temporarily give away an eGift Card, you can set it to Free Checkout for everyone.

Offer Image
There are several different options available for offer images.
Account Logo: This gives it a minimalist look and feel.
Media Library Image - With Logo Overlay: This is the recommended option. First upload your image to your Media Library and then choose it when editing your offer.
Media Library Image - Standalone: This won't put the logo in the top right corner.
Upload Image - With Logo Overlay: Use this when the image is specific to just this particular offer and you don't want it cluttering up your Media Library.
Upload Image - Standalone: This won't put the logo in the top right corner, which would be valuable if your image doesn't look right with that or if your image already has the logo embedded in it.
None: This will just show a striped gray background.

Media Library Image - With Logo Overlay
This is the recommended option because of its efficiency.
First upload your commonly-used background images to your Media Library.
Then when you are editing the offer, you can drill down to the category you want and choose it with just a couple clicks instead of having to locate and upload the image from your computer each time.
In addition, you can then update the image in your Media Library later on and it will take effect across all offers that utilize that image.

Custom Tagging
You can tag patrons with one of your custom tags upon redemption and upon sign up (for those types of offers that allow sign-ups).
Review Form
You can choose a review form to be sent out each time the customer redeems the certificate.
Bounce Back After Redemption
Note: The Bounce Back offer will be sent out only after the final redemption, meaning that the certificate is marked as Completed and there is no balance remaining.
In other words, in cases where multiple redemptions for one certificate are possible, it will only send the bounce back offer when the certificate redemptions are completed.
