Custom Tags

Custom Tags allow you to tag your patrons based on certain actions they take or certain thresholds they cross. You can then send offers only to patrons who have certain tags.

There are three types of tags that are applied to a patron based on a threshold they cross.

- All-Time Reward Points
- All-Time Check-Ins/Redemptions
- Last Review Sentiment

For each threshold type, you most likely would want to create several different tags at different thresholds.
All-Time Reward Points
Patrons will be tagged with this tag when their 'All-Time Reward Points' matches or exceeds this threshold, and will be untagged from any other tags that have a lower threshold set.

This way subscribers will only be tagged with one of the 'All-Time Reward Points' tags at a time, allowing you to target each group of subscribers separately.

This allows you to have 'tiers' of customers based on the amount they spend and then send specific offers to each group.

All-Time Check-Ins/Redemptions
Patrons will be tagged with this tag when their all-time combined total number of check-ins and redemptions matches or exceeds this threshold, and will be untagged from any other tags that have a lower threshold set.

This way subscribers will only be tagged with one of the 'Check-Ins/Redemptions' tags at a time, allowing you to target each group of subscribers separately.

This allows you to have 'tiers' of customers based on the number of times they visit and then send specific offers to each group.
All-Time Check-Ins/Redemptions
Last Review Sentiment
Patrons will be tagged with the tag that matches the sentiment of the last review they submitted.

For example, create two tags, one with Positive and one with Negative. Patrons submitting a review with a Positive sentiment (4-5 Stars) will be tagged with the Positive tag, and likewise for Negative (1-3 Stars).

Note that they can only be tagged as on Last Review Sentiment at a time, so if a patron who is tagged with the Positive tag then submits a Negative review, the positive tag will be removed and they'll be tagged with the Negative tag.

General
Finally, we have a tag with no special threshold called General. This type of tag is for when you want to apply your own custom classification.

For example, you could create a 'Holiday Buyers' tag, where everyone who buys a certain e-Gift Card is tagged as such.

Send Offers To Specific Groups
Finally, we can customize the recipients of a specific offer.

For example, set up a Marketing Blast for a purchased offer, or create a Give Away offer, and send it out only to people who have passed a certain points threshold, or only to people who purchased a Holiday e-Gift Card.

Bulk tagging & Filtering
You can also tag and untag patrons in bulk, filter Patrons based on their tags (and export to csv), and search the Activity Log for events that involved tags.
